The Attempted King
The word, culture, means, the ways of a people. All the senses are involved in culture. Language, religion, the food we eat, the clothing we wear, the art on the wall. Or lack thereof. We humans use our senses, i.e., our culture, to identify our surroundings. If we are familiar with those surroundings, we feel safe. If not, our guard goes up.
All across the West, many have their guard up. It’s instinctual: A gut reaction to strangers, plus, strange ideas, we find all across the Western part of the Earth. That reaction, our guard being up, is as old as animal life on our Earth. Animals will react more quickly to the stranger than we humans do. All you have to do is watch the videos of the buffalo goring humans, who are, frankly, stupid, to think the buffalo are friendly. Sorry, humans, to a buffalo you are an interloper into the buffalos surroundings, or, location.
Even a domestic dog, when in unfamiliar territory, can be vicious if it feels threatened by a stranger.
One of the differences between humans and wild animals is that we can adapt to the stranger. This is, however, a modern skill, to adapt to the stranger. Back in the day, a stranger was not to be trusted. In a small town, they were booted out. Especially if they were men without females.
The immigrants to the United States, in the old days, wanted to adapt to our ways. It was a mixed bag among the Americans, divided by those who were helpful, and those who remained distrustful, of the immigrant. We were unique among the nations for our ability to take in so many newcomers. Eventually, Europe also opened its doors. The difference is, now many immigrants say they are refugees, and do not attempt to adopt our Western ways. They are trouble.
You know what I mean when I say the immigrants of today can be a problem. And you know what I mean when I say many of us have also adopted new ideas. One of those ideas is that we are supposed to trust the strangers among us, and tolerant bad behaviour. Which is a slap in the face to those who have followed the old rules. The bad boys and girls are the privileged.
Welcome to life in a democracy with universal suffrage. Wherein, you are not in control of much of anything. The “people” are in control. Anyone can vote, and some of our citizens vote many times, or the dead will vote, and so forth. However, I am not here today to address any one particular corruption. I am here to speak of alternate ideas regarding our future, and its culture. Because, as Obama once quoted, from Einstein, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting a different result.
We see insanity, yes? But who is more insane, the leaders who push a way of life on us that is alien, or the voters who keep voting for those leaders, and expect things will get better?
Individuals who attempt to take on these problems, in a truly serious way, but are not a part of ruling government, are thought of as radicals, or nut jobs. In this era, they are considered the extreme right wing, because the status quo is of the left wing. The left wing must label the right wing as frightening, so that the average voter, will be fearful of the right wing, and will not vote for them. This is so, I have observed, because serious issues in the Western world do not require a serious attempt to fix them. Take homelessness as an example. If we fix homelessness, what will all those non profits dedicated to the problem, do? They might be out of a job. Therefore, we give homelessness lip service, and a bandaid.
Did you ever think that these non profits are a part of the problem they are there to fix?
Here’s another thought. What if we, in the United States, pumped more oil? We would have leftovers to sell to places like Germany. Because Germany, and the EU in general, is suffering an energy shortage. Germans are buying up candles, and cutting wood.
Ah, yes, Germany. We are here to talk about that nation that gave birth to our Western culture.
Germany, like other nations in the West, has many issues, aside from returning to those old coal plants to power up their electrical grid. The nation that once bailed out Greece, may need a bailout themselves. And then there is the migrant issue, which is another Western issue, along with being forced to participate in the EU. Germany may be a democracy, but like all these democracies, many are tired of the nuttiness these forms of government bring on. By nuttiness, I mean the chaos of inconsistency. Someone is always changing the rules.
Civilizations need consistency. I suggest that is the reason why chiefs became kings, as they provided consistency. Monarchs are the hub of the wheel of organized human endeavors. Modernists do not like monarchies for that very reason.
What do I mean by a modernist? People who like to experiment with other people. Modernist love to push and shove others into belief systems that are unfamiliar to them. The modernists do not believe in culture. They are the builders of a new Tower of Babel, trying to bring all people together. God didn’t like that deal for a reason.
Modernists are, of course, Westerners. Easterners believe in culture. China, Japan, Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, to name a few, will have nothing to do modernist ideas. Their nations are quite distinct, one from the other. They feel no need to be inclusive. They stick to their traditions.
The traditionalist and the conservative of the West, are the bane of the modernists. The traditionalist and the conservative are labeled radical and dangerous by the modernists.
So what do we have in Germany? The Reichsbürger, which means, “sovereign people,” attempted a coup of their government. They were arrested. The fascinating thing about the Reichsbürger is, they wanted to restore the monarchy of Germany. So of course, everyone in the press, which we all know leans to the left, got their panties twisted. The press, in the West, like the people they inform, think their democratic republics are the best thing since sliced bread. Of course they labeled the Reichsbürger as a group of right wing radicals. And the very thought of a prince who attempted to gain the empty throne? Heresy! Wacko! Bad, bad, bad!
The media is quite ignorant of what a monarchy is, except to say it is bad, and democratic republics are good. Though modern, world history has shown us the outright savagery of democratic governments on their citizens, people continue to believe monarchs are tyrants and democracy is full of all the best people. This is why I suggest that democrats and republicans are insane, because they keep repeating this mistake in the voting booth, thinking a new set of politicians will be better than the last ones they voted out. Ergo, I am of the opinion that not only do republics suck, they are full of the insane. After all, China is a republic. Do you see what I mean?
Back to Germany. The Reichsbürger wanted to place a prince on the empty throne of Germany. Now here is what is truly revealing about modernists. The members of the press didn’t think this prince, Heinrich XIII, was good enough for the throne, because he is considered a minor prince.
If he were a major prince, would that make the coup okay? Quick! Let’s find a major prince for Germany!
Who the hell do these people think started the royal houses of Europe? Bloodline princes? Or tough guys who were willing to duke it out with the locals for control of the area?
We need some tough guys again. But I digress.
Modernist journalists do not know enough of history to ask the right questions. Ignorance prevails when it comes to the roles of monarchs. The modernist press thinks politicians, and actors, and retired CEOs are wise enough to opine on everything. It’s a democracy, right? Everyone is created equal, right?
Would Prince Heinrich make a good king? Now that is the question I would ask. Because an in-depth journalist would begin his inquires with that sort of question. That would mean he is curious, not dismissive. A genuine journalist will dig deeper, to investigate, so that we can understand this bit of news on a deeper level.
I do not know the answer to the question regarding his highness’ ability to rule, except that I do not fault him, or his group, for trying a traditional remedy to fix this awful place Germany finds itself in. Nonetheless, I predict, one of these years, not too far in the future, a serious, as in well organized group, will make a considerable, and consequential attempt to restore a monarchy. Because we keep doing this democracy thing, with bad results. Indeed, I will cite Germany, as an example, of how democracy goes wrong. Remember, the NAZIs took over a democratic republic, not a monarchy.
Germany may have outlawed their old aristocracy, but their democratic leaders have proven to be way more savage than any king Germany ever had. Therefore, let there be another monarch. I guarantee it, that monarchy will be an improvement from all the garbage that went down in the 20th century.
