Chaos
Chaos is the Greek name for the goddess that birthed our solar system. What she is, technically, is the nebula. Or, perhaps she is the big bang that disturbed the nebula enough to remix all those gasses; they then began the process of coalescing into planets, a moon, and our little home in the universe, Earth. Chaos is aptly named because if you think about it, a nebula is a chaotic mess, until it is shaken, not stirred.
I could have that wrong. Maybe a big bang is a stirring up of the big cocktail? Anyway, because of Chaos, we are here.
Chaos must be a close cousin to Lord Shiva. The theme here is creative destruction. Before something can happen, something has to be destroyed. It is what nature does; kills something off, and then something else grows into its place. Take life, for example. We have these cycles; from procreation to death. Chaos is a part of that cycle. Even the creations that humans come up with, like a painting, or making a car, both Picasso and Henry Ford’s minds, went through a period of chaos once an idea hit them. I refer to this as the great, sorting out. Disorder comes before order.
I address chaos today because after reading up on all the world wide news these past few weeks, I can see our world is growing in chaos. The word does mean, according to my dictionary, confusion and disorder. From mutilating a body to change one’s sex, to nasty people crossing borders, to being woke, forcing diversity, to smash and grabs that destroy entire department stores, well, Huston, we have a problem.
Here are a few of the subjects of the lead stories I’ve been reading.
France vs France: the French farmers are laying a siege, all around Paris.
Ukraine vs Russia: a David vs Goliath meetup, that has no end in sight.
Israel vs Hamas: An old tune we are all weary of.
The USA vs the USA: In this round, it is Biden vs Abbot.
And then there is Iran vs everyone else.
Even Trump is in on the action, saying we will soon have WW 3.
Ya think?
Are we glad Trump joined the prophet party? Do we feel better now that this icon of a different color also feels the pressure building? That is, after all, the man’s trademark; he says, out loud, what others are thinking.
If you pray to have Jesus come and rescue us, forget about it. The only people that can save us, is us. Good luck with that one, right?
Is the world really going to hell in the proverbial hand basket? How many of us will fit into that basket? Better question is, how did we get here from back there?
This is one of those moments when you may want to ask yourself, what exactly did I learn in those history classes in school that prepared me for this state of affairs? Or this question. If history repeats itself, and we know that history repeats itself, why do we keep repeating this same old same old chaos/war thing?
Let the History Desk give you some clues. About 600 years back, a king in France died without leaving a direct male heir. In France, in the 14th century, a king could not pass his responsibilities on to a daughter. So the next in-line male heir would pick up the throne, even if he was an infant. It so happened, that the nearest relative to this king was a king of another country; England. The French didn’t take kindly to that idea, but the English king insisted he was now king of France. The English are known to be a bit pushy, so they invaded France, and set off a war that lasted over a hundred years. This war is known to us as the Hundred Years War. I prefer to rename it, the Hundred Years Madness.
During that century, many individuals lost their lives for nothing. And, many individuals were corrupted as they dealt with the mess. And a mess it was. Because, not only did the have this war to deal with, they also had the plague, and a mini ice age. Talk about a century of chaos! In Barbara Tuchman’s, A Distant Mirror, you can read all about it. If I were to write a book on the 20th century, I would title it A Closeup Mirror.
The big question I put forward, is not about the psychopaths who claim thrones. What we need to know is why do these madmen get so many followers? The followers, who buy into the psycho leaders programs, they are the real danger. Back then, of course, they didn’t understand psychopathic behavior. It was taken for granted that certain men were leaders, and the rest followers. A part of the problem was that males thought only they should lead. So if a king had a daughter as his first born, he sweated it out until a boy was born. Sometimes these firstborn boys died. So it wasn’t guaranteed that the boy would live to take the throne. A king could marry off his firstborn daughter to some other prince in another kingdom. That is when the problems would arise, for with a dead son comes a nephew across the channel eyeing his grandfather’s throne.
Stories like these are what turns so many people off to monarchies. However, the democracies have also become quite corrupt. Therefore, we can chalk up our proclivity to invite chaos into our lives as just plain old human behavior.
Back to our question on followers. They are the real problem because they go along with the psycho’s plan. If the psycho has no followers, he has no way to put his plan into action.
True, I am simplifying a complex situation, for the purpose of brevity. However, if you do look at all the “great” leaders from the past, many of these men are downright monsters. Napoleon comes to mind since there is a recent movie out on him. Napoleon claimed the right to raise an army, and set out to conquer Europe. He had no empathy for the citizens of other nations, and, he had no boundaries. He invaded, murdered and maimed people for life. All to fill his own, private, destiny.
And what were the French thinking when they allowed this psycho to be their emperor? Had they not just killed their king and queen, and half the aristocracy? Wasn’t their revolution about being a republic, and giving rights to humanity?
The “right” that Napoleon had, was the right of the mob behind him.
The “lesson” of Napoleon didn’t stick, because not more than 20 years later, France had a second revolution, and then, finally, they turned themselves into a republic. No more monarchs were to be hired. Did that mean the chaos was over? No. There was a new guy, an exiled German, sitting in London, writing a book. His name? Karl Marx. He is, for many today, the new savior. In his name, millions have been subjected to chaos, and death. Marxists are known to hold inquisitions and witch hunts in order to stomp out their enemies. Their number one tool is a new slavery.
A slave lives in the chaos of the nebula. The slave has no control over his or her, life. They cannot make plans for their future. Because the nebula is cloudy, formless and unpredictable place.
People today feel uneasy because they wait for the big bang. Will it be a third world war, as many, besides Trump, predict? Or can good people shoot the psychopaths and end this time of madness? I vote for shooting the psychopaths. Each and every one of them.
Those of you who read me regularly know my thoughts on becoming a grownup. And then dealing with the bullies on the streets and in the governments of this world, my own included. Governments are full of psychopaths and their followers, so voting in a new set of narcissists is futile. Turning our backs on them sends a direct message. Like in France. The people there take action to change their government, but I say we take action to be rid of it, period. To clean the slate, and rethink the idea of why we need bureaucracies to begin with.
Your call to action is to begin this process by thinking outside the nebula. Think about all those individuals that have died because some SOB thought he was a god. Those types of punks, are still with us. Time for them to go.
